Motorists looking for a standout registration number in Dubai have another window to act. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) auctioned 150 premium number plates through its 83rd online auction, with registration opening on 20 July 2026 and bidding starting on 27 July.

The five-day auction covered three-, four- and five-digit plates for private vehicles, classic cars and motorcycles, carrying codes from A through Z. For buyers, the round continues a run of auctions that has kept premium Dubai plate values among the most active in the region.

How to take part

  • Hold a valid Dubai traffic file
  • Submit a refundable AED 5,000 security cheque payable to the RTA
  • Pay a non-refundable AED 120 participation fee
  • Complete registration at Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha or Deira, or online through the RTA website

Timeline and payment

Successful bidders must settle the full amount within 10 working days after the auction closes. Payments of up to AED 50,000 can be made in cash at authorised service provider centres, while larger amounts are settled by certified cheque or credit card.
